Summary

Katie loves skating with the Wheelas and the fact that she’s officially a superhero sidekick。 But now that school’s starting, everything’s changing。 The Mousetress is getting blamed for things Katie knows she didn’t do。 Sidekick training is NOT as exciting as she’d hoped。 Katie’s best friend Beth is back in town and Beth’s new boyfriend is always hanging around (ugh!)。 Not to mention that all of Katie’s friends are mad at her。 Fixing this will be harder than any skateboarding trick。 But with the help of 217 slightly out of the ordinary cats, Katie’s going to try! Can she clear the Mousestress’s name, uncover the real supervillain, and become the sidekick (and the friend) she’s always dreamed of being?

This is a graphic novel with wonderful illustrations。 I enjoyed the first story more than this one。 Some of the ideas were a bit extreme。 I like how there are super heroes that do good things to help the earth and others。 But the people being evil were out there, The creativity was good as far as the cat’s names and what their talent was, and the tools they used to solve the crimes。 The story line just didn’t do it for me。 I work with students ages 2-21。 I feel ages 8-12 would really like this b This is a graphic novel with wonderful illustrations。 I enjoyed the first story more than this one。 Some of the ideas were a bit extreme。 I like how there are super heroes that do good things to help the earth and others。 But the people being evil were out there, The creativity was good as far as the cat’s names and what their talent was, and the tools they used to solve the crimes。 The story line just didn’t do it for me。 I work with students ages 2-21。 I feel ages 8-12 would really like this book。 I can also see how the author can keep going with this series。 。。。more

I absolutely loved this second installment in the Katie the Catsitter series! Katie and The Moustress are back at it: saving animals, exposing bad guys, and wrangling an extraordinary army of cats。 Katie's friendship struggles continue to plague her as she's now upset her friends from school and her new friend group, The Wheels。 Katie will soon find out that not everyone is who they appear to be。 Join Katie on another thrilling adventure as she attempts to clear the Mousestress’s name once and f I absolutely loved this second installment in the Katie the Catsitter series! I was not prepared for this graphic novel at all being about superheroes and villains! I did not read the first Katie the Catsitter book so I was a little lost at the beginning - was this contemporary? Magical? Urban fantasy? It’s just about superheroes and villains - unclear if any of the superheroes have “powers”, really, and also many hyper-intelligent cats。 It’s also about friendships and getting new friends and not remembering how to connect with your old ones。 It’s got really good art that I was not prepared for this graphic novel at all being about superheroes and villains! Cute story about cats, friendship, and the importance of standing what you believe。Katie is back, but things are different。 Friendships have changed and Katie can't seem to find focus of what's important, even if it's in her face。 Instead she's doubling down on the angsty teen image more than ever and ignoring who and what problems might really need her attention。 Will she make up with Beth? Katie the Catsitter is back and she is struggling。 If only she could show everyone that the Mousetress is a superhero, not a villain。 If only she could have her best friend Bethany back the way things were before summer camp。 If only she could stop hearing about Stainless Steel every time she turns around。 If only she could try out those suction cup shoes。 。 。 Do they really work? We received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review and I handed it off immediately to my 10-year-old graphic novel loving kiddo who thought Book 1 was fantastic。 And she says。。。 She'd really give this 4。5 stars if possible。 She loved the twists and turns in the book (Who's good? Who's bad? Who knows!) and the plot was pretty fun。 She felt that the first part of the book was a little slow, but the pace picked up as she read further。 She enjoyed seeing some of her favorite characters f We received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review and I handed it off immediately to my 10-year-old graphic novel loving kiddo who thought Book 1 was fantastic。 And she says。。。 She'd really give this 4。5 stars if possible。 She loved the twists and turns in the book (Who's good? This is Book 2 in the adventures of Katie the Catsitter。 Katie's world includes skateboarding with her friends and trying to be the sidekick to Mousetress, a superhero。 Returning to school Katie's one friend is attending another school and her other friend now has a boyfriend。 It is super confusing as to where she fits in。 And Moustress is getting blamed for bad things so now everyone thinks that she has gone evil when Katie knows it isn't true。 But how can she get her to stand up for herself。 T This is Book 2 in the adventures of Katie the Catsitter。 Katie's world includes skateboarding with her friends and trying to be the sidekick to Mousetress, a superhero。 Returning to school Katie's one friend is attending another school and her other friend now has a boyfriend。 It is super confusing as to where she fits in。 And Moustress is getting blamed for bad things so now everyone thinks that she has gone evil when Katie knows it isn't true。 But how can she get her to stand up for herself。 The storylines are fun and fit the intended age group。 This graphic novel is beautifully illustrated。 I think it does help to read the first book in the series, but it isn't a must。 The main characters are all female but I like that in my school library, readers will easily cross gender lines when reading graphic novels。 Recommend for 4th grade up through middle school。 Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Children's for a temporary eARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

I loved Katie in the first book and I loved this one as well。 The characters are so fun and bright。 I love all of the cats and that we get to meet new ones with each new volume。 The plot of this one also delt with some more grown up issues which I also really enjoyed。 This is a series that is perfect for kids and adults。 I recommended the first book to multiple people and they loved it and I know the end one is going to be just as great!
